React Job: Frontend Software Developer

Our Cayman, Dublin and Toronto offices invite applicants for the position of Frontend Software Developer.

Harmonic is one of the largest independent fund administrators, delivering a range of services and technology to private debt, hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, private banks, pension funds and family offices. With our experienced professionals and technology, we support a dynamic and complex industry characterized by new financial products, trading strategies and capital markets. Harmonic is service oriented and technology intensive providing comprehensive services and software that include operations outsourcing, custom development and technology for global investment managers.

We are looking for a talented and motivated addition to our development team building applications for alternative investments management.

Skills and qualifications:

The position requires an applicant with 3+ years of solid work experience in React development in a professional environment and the below required technical qualifications:

• BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Strong development skills in React and Typescript, knowledge of JavaScript/ECMAScipt as well as HTML and CSS
• Familiarity with React ecosystem such as Node.js, npm, webpack, etc.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, basic understanding of OpenID and Bearer token authentication
• Experience in GIT and Bug Tracking Systems
• Understanding of basic http and browser principles (requests, headers, cookies, local storages, DOM, events propagation, etc)
• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative and positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

Additional desired qualifications include:

• Knowledge and experience in the alternative investment administration field. Specific requested areas of knowledge are partnership allocations, share registry, private equity, and investor fee methods such as multi-series and equalization.
